JAMES CITY-A new hibachi restaurant is planning to open in Greater Williamsburg this summer.
Hibachi Buddha is anticipating opening along Olde Towne Road in James City County on Saturday, July 1 just ahead of the 4th of July holiday.
The restaurant, which specializes in hibachi style cuisine cooked fresh and made to order, will be located at 5242 Olde Towne Rd. The hibachi style meal options include steak, chicken, and shrimp, with other seafood also available.
According to a Gofundme page started to help cover costs associated with opening Hibachi Buddha, the business first started in the chef’s garage in 2020. Hibachi Buddha is slated to open in the same shopping complex along Olde Towne Road as Uncle Russ’ Dockside Seafood Market.
