WILLIAMSBURG-Two Food Lion workers in Greater Williamsburg were among those who were recently honored for their dedication to the company.
In June, the national grocery store chain honored 328 employees who are celebrating milestones with the company. According to a press release, the group has served 11,080 years. Food Lion annually recognizes who workers who’ve been with the company for 30, 35, 40, 45, and 50 years.
Locally, Marty Wyatt and Sandra Drake were recognized for each serving 35 years at Food Lion locations in the Williamsburg area.
“Our associates are at the heart of everything we do at Food Lion,” said Meg Ham, president of Food Lion, in a release. “Because of the decades of service and dedication from these individuals, Food Lion is able to nourish families and set them up for success in life. It is our honor to recognize and appreciate those who have shared their gifts and talents in the towns and cities we serve.”
