WILLIAMSBURG-The sale of the former Yankee Candle Village on Richmond Road in Williamsburg has been finalized.

On April 3, Cushman & Wakefield/Thalhimer announced completion of the sale of the 64,000 square foot building located on six acres at 2200 Richmond Rd.

Uptown Alley 1, LLC, purchased the property from Fulton Bank for $4,000,000. As previously reported by Peninsula Chronicle, Uptown Alley has plans to open a multi-level entertainment venue on the site. The establishment will feature a bowling alley, an arcade, a restaurant, and other amenities.

The Williamsburg location, which is slated to open later this year, will be the fifth location for Uptown Alley, which is based in Richmond.

Yankee Candle Village closed in the spring of 2021, and Uptown Alley first announced plans to bring an establishment to Williamsburg in fall of 2022.

On March 29, the popular seafood restaurant Oceans & Ale, which currently operates from a space at Williamsburg Premium Outlets, shared on social media that it plans to construct a new restaurant adjacent to Uptown Alley at 2800 Richmond Rd. The restaurant is expected to open in summer 2025.
