NEWPORT NEWS—One of the four new happenings that were added to the Newport News roster of events this year will be held at Newport News Park on Saturday, April 23 from 10am to 5pm.
The new Outdoor Enthusiast event will include free hot air balloon rides; paddle boat, kayak, and canoe rides; a rowing regatta, parkour station, rock wall, lumberjack shows, grass volleyball, yoga, inflatable obstacle courses, axe throwing, nature walks, live entertainment, children’s activities, food and craft vendors, and more.
The event is not only designed to show off all that the 7,500-plus acre Newport News Park has to offer hiking, fishing, and biking enthusiasts. It is also to give people the incentive to get outside and enjoy some fresh air. Admission, activities, and parking are all free and open to the public.
