WILLIAMSBURG-A new leader for the College of William & Mary’s Raymond A. Mason School of Business has been announced. The college has named Dr. Todd Mooradian as the new dean of its business school.

Mooradian is currently dean of the College of Business as the University of Louisville. He will assume his new role on August 15. Mooradian was chosen following a nationwide search. He success Lawrence B. Pulley, who is retiring as dean after 24 years.

“An experienced leader and scholar, Dr. Mooradian has a deep appreciation for William & Mary’s learning mission,” said Wiliam & Mary President Katherine A. Rowe in a statement. “We are delighted to welcome him back. Under Vision 2026, William & Mary will graduate principled, data-savvy professionals who are prepared to thrive in every stage of their careers. Todd Mooradian will advance these goals of curricular innovation with dedication and verve.”

Mooradian previously served as a professor at William & Mary for 27 years and was most recently associate dean for Faculty and Academic Affairs at the business school from 2014 to 2017.

“My wife and I are beyond excited to be returning to William & Mary,” Mooradian said. “William & Mary was never a job. It has always been a passion. This is a return to an institution that is woven into who we are. But, more than any return to home, my move to William & Mary now is all about the future, joining with its current leadership, and contributing to its great momentum as a leading university.”

The New Local News Model

On July 1, we started a new way to pay for news. Yes, we want you to subscribe, but we know nobody subscribes to every site they visit just because there’s a paywall.

So if you don’t want to subscribe (even at the low price of $39.99 for a year), you can pay for access to individual articles. Or just buy a 24-hour pass, as if you were buying a single copy of a newspaper. We use a new payment service called Transact, which lets you pay for individual articles in as little as three seconds. And you will get $3 in credit when you sign up (just an email address, no credit card required), which will let you pay for at least 20 articles.

This is new for everyone, so we’re going to ease you into this. Initially, there won’t be many articles that you have to pay for. Short ones will always be free. And even the longer stories will let you read the first half or so for free. We’d love to hear what you think, so send us a note at [email protected].
