JAMES CITY COUNTY –A popular Christmas pop-up store at Williamsburg Premium Outlets on Richmond Road will become a permanent fixture at the shopping complex.
Janey Sawyer, owner of The Williamsburg Bazaar Christmas and Gift Store, announced on social media at the end of December that the storefront will become a year-round seasonal shop under the new name Williamsburg Bazaar Too A Seasonal and Gift Store. The change will take effect in February after the Christmas pop-up store’s lease runs out at the end of January.
The Williamsburg Bazaar Christmas and Gift Store is an offshoot of Sawyer’s original establishment Williamsburg Bazaar, which is also located at the Williamsburg Premium Outlets. Sawyer also owns Norge Bazaar.
Williamsburg Bazaar vendors rent spaces on a monthly basis. Roughly 50 vendors from Williamsburg Bazaar also have a space in the Christmas pop-up shop. Vendors from the Christmas pop-up have been invited to stay on once the store changes over to Williamsburg Bazaar Too A Seasonal and Gift Store. Sawyer is also looking for new vendors interested in a space at her new establishment as well as the original Williamsburg Bazaar.
This past holiday season “went well beyond our expectations,” Sawyer said. “I love the vendors we have and, though some come so far away, I hope they stay.”
