WILLIAMSBURG-Tidal Wave Auto Spa, which will soon open a new car wash in the Victory Village shopping center on Mooretown Road in York County, is hoping to build another location on Richmond Road in Williamsburg.
On February 16, a public hearing will be held during the Williamsburg Planning Commission meeting regarding a special use permit to construct a new car wash at 1800 Richmond Rd.
SHJ Construction Group is requesting the permit to build on roughly 2.7 acres. Tidal Wave Auto Spa would be located between two restaurants, Cookout and Taco Bell, on property that once housed a motel that has since been demolished.
The proposed project involves construction of a roughly 950 square foot building attached to a drive-thru car wash as well as 22 parking spaces with vacuum capabilities and parking spaces for four employees.
Tidal Wave Auto Spa first began operations in Georgia in 2004. In addition to the Tidal Wave Auto Spa that will soon open in York County, the company also has a location in Gloucester on George Washington Memorial Highway.
