NEWPORT NEWS—The Board of Directors of The Housing Development Corporation of Hampton Roads recently announced that Marcus Calabrese from Image Capital Group will be joining their housing team.
“Marcus’s proven professional success in media marketing and public relations adds a focused dimension to our mission to be the visible advocate for providing quality and safe affordable housing for low-income individuals and families on the Peninsula,” said Bruce LaLonde, president and executive director of The Housing Development Corporation of Hampton Roads. “Being strongly rooted in Hampton Roads, Marcus is a graduate of Virginia Wesleyan College. He has a distinguished and generous history of nonprofit volunteer board contributions.”
The mission of the Housing Development Corporation of Hampton Roads is to provide quality, affordable housing opportunities in safe neighborhoods to low-income individuals, and families, the homeless, and the disabled. It applies for grant funding from government agencies, foundations, and other organizations, and seeks support from area faith congregations, individuals, businesses, and community organizations.
