JAMES CITY-Men looking for custom suits and tuxedos will soon have another option in Greater Williamsburg.
A new business, Andre Julius-Men’s Custom Suits & Accessories, is opening on Saturday, June 11 in New Town. The establishment will be located at 4345 New Town Ave., Suite 107A in the same building as Paul’s Deli.
Owner Andre McLaughlin said he grew up attending church, “and I have always been accustomed to dressing up and wearing a suit.”
As he got older, McLaughlin found it challenging to find a suit that fit properly.
“I thought it would be cool to have a custom suit and a custom shoe store right here in Williamsburg,” he said. “It’s always been a dream to own my own suit company, but this will be on another level. The suits will be exclusively made for the person.”
The business will be open by appointment only. Patrons will start with a consultation that includes measurements, then will work together with McLaughlin and his team to design the garments they would like.
Andre Julius-Men’s Custom Suits & Accessories will carry men’s suits, tuxedos, dress shirts, trousers, coats, ties, shoes, and other items. Eventually, custom women’s wear will be added on to the business.
“I want to provide affordable custom garments with a high-quality experience and fabrics,” said McLaughlin, who is also the owner of Elevate Marketing Group. “I have a couple ‘celebrity’ brand ambassadors who will be endorsing my garments. I will be revealing both in the very near future.”
