HAMPTON—BioLife Plasma, part of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited, is opening a new plasma donation center on Saturday, April 23 at 1076A W. Mercury Ave. in Hampton. With more than 140 centers located in the U.S. and Europe, BioLife is recognized for its world-class donation safety standards and high-quality centers that deliver a positive donor experience.
Plasma is a key ingredient used to create medicines for people with rare and complex diseases, as well as for burn victims. It cannot be synthetically reproduced, and it can only come from one source—volunteer donations. The global demand for these therapies, particularly immunoglobulins, has increased dramatically over the last 15 years, and continues to grow.
Individuals providing donations are compensated for their time. During the grand opening of the new Hampton location, those who bring in a coupon or download the BioLife app and enter the promo code DONOR900 can earn up to $900 after just eight donations. Donations can be made two times per week, with a minimum of one day in between visits.
To learn more, get the coupon, and register for an initial appointment, visit the Hampton BioLife landing page. A series of videos is also available on the page to explain the donation process.
