WILLIAMSBURG-The recent silent auction held by Child Development Resources (CDR) raised more than $118,000 for the organization. Online and in-person bidders participated in the annual event to raise funds for CDR, which serves infants and toddlers who need early intervention services and their families in Williamsburg, James City County, York County, and Poquoson.
“We are so grateful for the community support we received at this year’s event, our first in-person auction in three years,” said CDR Executive Director Paul Scott in a release. “CDR was created to help families who were feeling isolated and overwhelmed by challenges, and that’s something we can all relate to these past few years. The enthusiasm our supporters, sponsors, and attendees showed for the little ones we serve is amazing and heartwarming.”
Fully 16 local business and community organizations sponsored this year’s CDR Bid n’ Buy Auction, including presenting sponsor Ferguson Cares.
CDR will host a Live Auction and Garden Party on May 14 on the lawn of the Art Museums from 4pm to 6pm. Tickets to the event will be available online in Mid-April at www.cdr.org/gardenparty.
