WILLIAMSBURG—The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation will again honor veteran and military families with free admission to its museums and exhibits over the Memorial Day weekend. Free admission will be offered to those eligible from Friday, May 26, to Monday, May 29.
The program is made possible thanks to a $100,000 grant by The Home Depot Foundation. The Home Depot Foundation has given away more than 53,000 tickets to military families since the program began in 2015.
On Memorial Day, Monday, May 29, at 10am, Colonial Williamsburg, along with the Williamsburg Chapter Society of the Sons of the American Revolution, will host a commemoration wreath-laying ceremony. The day will conclude with a bagpipe performance of “Salute to the Fallen” near Governor’s Palace at 4:40pm.
Proper military ID must be shown when single day passes are issued. Minor children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult, and older kids must present military dependent ID. Discounts are also available on hotels, dining, retail, golf, and spa.
