HAMPTON—The Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF) is looking for people to join its VoiCeS (Volunteers as Chesapeake Stewards) adult education course. The VoiCeS program was created to reach local volunteers and their communities to create a deeper understanding of the Chesapeake Bay watershed and the challenges facing Bay restoration, as well as to learn steps to clean up local waterways and how to engage the community and elected officials.
According to the CBF, long-term improvements in the health of the Chesapeake Bay and its rivers and streams, as well as the implementation and defense of the Chesapeake Clean Water Blueprint, requires knowledgeable, active, and inspired residents. The VoiCeS program offers professionally taught, intensive educational training for clean water advocates who want to take a more active role in saving the Bay.
