Alewerks Brewing Company Wins Award In 2022 World Beer Cup

YORK-Alewerks Brewing Company announced it took home a bronze medal for one of its beers in the 2022 World Beer Cup.

The brewery’s BBP (Bourbon Barrel Porter) earned the honor in the Wood- and Barrel-Age Strong Beer category of the competition, which was held in Minneapolis, MN on May 5. Nearly 2,500 breweries from around the world competed in the World Beer Cup, which is the largest cup competition. The BBP came in third out of 237 beers that competed in the category.

“To say we’re honored and humbled by the recognition would be an understatement,” Alewerks Brewing Company shared in an email with patrons. Alewerks Brewing Company is located at 189B Ewell Rd.
