WILLIAMSBURG-Earlier this month, Riverside Health System honored Riverside Doctors’ Hospital Williamsburg with a celebration marking its tenth anniversary serving the community.
Festivities took place on May 6 at the hospital’s campus at 1500 Commonwealth Ave. near the Quarterpath area of Williamsburg. The hospital, which opened in May 2013, was built in part to serve the medical needs of the retiree population in the City of Williamsburg as well as James City and York counties.
“Having achieved this milestone in Riverside’s history, we’d like to thank our team members, both former and current, for their dedication to serving their community and our mission of caring for others as we would care for those we love,” said Dr. Mike Dacey, CEO and president of Riverside, in a release. “The hospital was built and sustained for a decade by the compassionate, supportive care our teams provide each and every day.”
Riverside Doctors’ Hospital Williamsburg is a two-story, 40-bed, state-of-the-art hospital, which has grown through the years to care for hundreds of patients on a daily basis. The hospital provides both inpatient and outpatient care and specializes in traditional emergency and surgical care, cardiology, neurology, gastroenterology, outpatient diagnostic imaging, laboratory services, and physical therapy.
