GLOUCESTER – The most visible public fishing pier in Gloucester County is at the foot of the Coleman Bridge. There is a less notable one at Captain Sinclair’s Recreational Area on the Severn River, but it has fallen into disrepair over the past decade.
However, thanks to the efforts of the Middle Peninsula Chesapeake Bay Public Access Authority (MPCBPAA), also known as Virginia’s Coastal Wilds, the 400-foot pier is on the way to recovery. There still is work to be done, though.
