Yorktown Trolley Resuming Service March 24

YORK-The Yorktown Trolley is revving up to start its 2023 season. Beginning Friday, March 24, the trolley will operate from 11am to 5pm through November 19, with extended hours of 10am to 5:30pmMemorial Day weekend to Labor Day.

The trolley provides service to Yorktown’s two main historical attractions, the Yorktown Battlefield Visitor Center and the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown. There are several convenient stops along the way to visit the two main historical attractions, including the Victory Monument, Historic Main Street, Riverwalk Landing, Yorktown Beach, Watermen’s Museum, and the York County Courts and Office Complex.

Trolley drivers are primed to provide helpful information about each stop so guests can focus on the history, scenery, and ideas for where to purchase their next meal. The overall route takes approximately 20 to 25 minutes to complete.

Each trolley is ADA accessible and includes an infotainment system that features upcoming events in Historic Yorktown as well as local businesses. Each trolley can accommodate up to 28 seated and 19 standing passengers.

The trolley, which is a free service, is estimated to transport nearly 95,000 passengers throughout Yorktown during its operating season.

The Yorktown Trolley’s spring hours are 11am to 5pm March 24 through May 25. Summer hours are of operation are 10am to 5:30pm May 26 through September 4. The trolley runs from 11am to 5pm September 5 through November 19 and 11am to 5pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from November 24 through December 17 during the holiday season.
