Hampton Company Helping Improve Port Security

HAMPTON – Analytical Mechanics Associates, an engineering, science, and technology company in Hampton, is participating in a Virginia Department of Emergency Management project aimed at improving security at the Port of Virginia.

Old Dominion University, through its Unmanned Systems Center at the Virginia Innovation Partnership Corporation (VIPC), and the Virginia Institute of Spaceflight and Autonomy (VISA), oversees the project. The goal is to demonstrate how unmanned systems technology can play a significant role in the safety and security of the port.
