Many Local Retailers Expect Positive Sales During The Holiday Season

According to a survey conducted by Retail Alliance in early November, many local retailers are expecting a moderate sales growth this holiday season. The results are on par with the National Retail Federation’s forecast.

More than half (52.3 percent) of Hampton Roads business owners who were surveyed anticipate their holiday sales to be slightly higher this holiday season compared to last year. Additionally, 13.8 percent expect significant growth this year.

The New Local News Model

On July 1, we started a new way to pay for news. Yes, we want you to subscribe, but we know nobody subscribes to every site they visit just because there's a paywall.
