Williamsburg Chef Makes First Appearance On Hell’s Kitchen

YORK-Local chef Ileana D’Silva made her national debut on the 21st season premiere of Hell’s Kitchen on Thursday, September 29. D’Silva, who’s worked at Casa Pearl in Greater Williamsburg for the past three years, said she was contacted last year by an agent for the competitive cooking show who was looking for chefs in her age bracket for a “Battle of the Ages” theme for the program.

During this season of the reality cooking show competition hosted by famed chef Gordon Ramsay, nine 40-somethings are up against nine 20-somethings, with the last remaining contestant winning the grand prize of working as a chef at Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen restaurant in Atlantic City.
