Ceremony Dry Bottle Shop Offering Alternatives For Sober October

HAMPTON-In 2010, an Australia-based non-profit called Life Education spearheaded “Ocsober,” a lifestyle and fundraising movement geared toward the organization’s mission of preventative health care and drug education.

Since its inception, other organizations and businesses have adopted “Sober October” for their own campaigns while keeping the same principles in mind: reevaluating alcohol-intake and lifestyle choices, setting a positive example for younger generations, and reaping the proven health benefits of abstaining from alcohol for a month.

One local establishment is joining in the effort, Ceremony Dry Bottle Shop, which is a part of the Less Than company.

The New Local News Model

On July 1, we started a new way to pay for news. Yes, we want you to subscribe, but we know nobody subscribes to every site they visit just because there's a paywall.

So if you don't want to subscribe (even at the low price of $39.99 for a year), you can pay for access to individual articles.
