HAMPTON—There’s nothing like a warm, seaside breeze on a hot summer day and being able to stop for ice cream or some other fun treat. That’s what Veronica Sommer thought when she was out with her children at Buckroe Beach one day and couldn’t find a place to resolve that craving.

“I live in Buckroe and I have two small kids,” said Sommer. “We would ride around and there aren’t any ice cream shops anymore. When I was a kid, we had ice cream shops all over the city. Now there aren’t very many options. But there was an open location in Buckroe, I figured it could work, and here we are.”
