WILLIAMSBURG-Tevya Griffin has been appointed as the new director of Planning and Codes Compliance for the City of Williamsburg. The announcement was made on May 3, and Griffin officially assumed the position on May 16.
Griffin is a certified planner with the American Institute of Certified Planners and is a member of the American Planning Association. She most recently served as Director of Development in Hopewell. She was chosen following a nationwide search and will succeed Carolyn Murphy, who retired in December 2021.
“Tevya will be an excellent addition to the Williamsburg team,” Williamsburg City Manager Andrew O. Trivette said in a release. “The community and our organization will benefit from the enthusiasm and initiative that she has demonstrated during her successful career in the field of planning and community building.”
