Virginia Peninsula Foodbank Offering Free Culinary Training Program

HAMPTON-The Virginia Peninsula Foodbank is offering a free culinary training program this summer. The program is designed to help economically disadvantaged adults learn culinary skills and gain employment.

Participants will learn basic culinary skills including sanitary practices, job readiness skills, resume development, time management, teamwork, leadership, decision-making skills, goal setting, and conflict resolution. Upon completion of the program, culinary graduates will receive assistance to transfer their new skills to a job in one of the various foodbank partner businesses.
