Celebrate The Holidays In Hampton With These Events

HAMPTON—This holiday season, Hampton is providing a number of opportunities for everyone to share in holiday cheer, including captivating light shows, holiday-themed trails, and more. Bring the whole family along because there is an activity or event for everyone to celebrate this holiday season.

Holidays in the Sky Laser Light Show

November 20 and 21—6pm, 8pm, 10pm

1000 Coliseum Dr.

Hampton is lighting up the night sky with a 30-minute holiday-themed laser light show. Experience holiday magic from the comfort of your car at the Hampton Coliseum parking lot on November 20 and 21. These six showings are free and open to the public. Space is limited and registration is required. Click here to register.

Winter Whimsy at the Hampton Carousel

November 23–December 30

602 Settlers Landing Rd.

Make new holiday memories while enjoying festively adorned horses. The historic Hampton Carousel will be decked out for the season while playing special carousel Christmas music. Enjoy a free candy cane. Closed Mondays, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Take a ride on the carousel before it closes for the winter.

Phoebus Holiday Illumination & Craft Market

December 4—10am to 6pm

37 E. Mellen St.

Beautiful historic Phoebus will turn into a holiday wonderland. Mellen Street will be filled with a variety of holiday crafts and goods from local vendors, food trucks, live DJ, and more. Kids’ activities, special performances, and Santa himself make this event wonderful for the whole family. Ugly sweater contest begins at 5:15pm. Tree lighting begins at 5:30pm.

Holiday Wonder Walk at Waterwalk Path

December 4–12, 5 to 9pm

Entrance at Hampton Coliseum (1000 Coliseum Drive)

The lighted walk will feature lights and displays showcasing the Hampton Coliseum, Candyland, “Frozen,” and more.  The path will also include two stages of holiday entertainment, vendors selling hot food and holiday merchandise, kid’s activities, strolling performers, and new lights and displays.

Coliseum Central Holiday Extravaganza Drive-in Movie Series

December 10 and 11—6pm, 9pm

1000 Coliseum Drive

The Holiday Drive-in Movie Series returns for 2021 in the Hampton Coliseum parking lot. Movies will be shown free of charge to the community.

Downtown Hampton Lighted Boat Parade

December 11—2pm to 9pm

710 Settlers Landing Road

Cruise into the holiday spirit at the annual Downtown Hampton Lighted Boat Parade. The parade of illuminated power and sailboats will be visible from anywhere along the Hampton River. Santa will arrive by boat at the Maritime Center at 2pm. Enjoy live music by Hard Times beginning at 4pm, and the Lighted Boat Parade will begin at 6pm with the awards ceremony to follow. Hot chocolate, holiday snacks, and adult holiday beverages will be available for purchase inside The Landing Hotel.

Hampton for the Holidays Virtual Show

December 15—6 to 8pm

Hampton History Museum’s Facebook Live

Join some of Hampton Roads’ most original and innovative talents for a special salute to the holidays. Enjoy a variety shows led by Tornado Bait with other guest bands, a comedian, and a special reading of “Twas the Night Before Christmas” by WVEC’s Dan Kennedy.
