Newport News Green Foundation Hosts “Picnic at the Pond” Event

NEWPORT NEWS—Grab a blanket or some chairs and join the Newport News Green Foundation for “Picnic at the Pond” on Sunday, November 7. The event will be held at 401 Chatham Drive in Newport News from 11am to 2pm.

Brunch-style food will be provided by Pooh’s Kitchen, and coffee from Magenta Coffee and Tea. The Newport News Green Foundation invites all interested parties to come out and toast their new sculpture, “La Luna,” with their friends from the Newport News Public Art Foundation.

Flowers will be available from Ashley’s Flower Truck. There will also be live music and a beer tent that will offer mimosa kits, wine, and beer.

The Newport News Green Foundation enhances the quality of life in Newport News by preserving, transforming, and promoting green spaces throughout the city. This event is free and open to the public (food, beverages, and flower truck purchases are separate). Children and pets are welcome.
