Newport News Invites Public To Learn More About Jefferson Avenue Sidewalk Enhancement Project

NEWPORT NEWS—The City of Newport News Department of Engineering invites residents to learn more about the Jefferson Avenue Pedestrian Enhancement project. The city will install sidewalks on both sides of Jefferson Avenue from Industrial Park Drive to Shields Road. Pedestrian pushbuttons, pedestrian signal displays, amenities for Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) Bus Stops, and a closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera at the Jefferson Avenue and Shields Road intersection will be installed as part of the project.
