JAMES CITY-Waypoint Seafood and Grill in the Quarterpath Crossing shopping center recently reopened under new management.
The popular Williamsburg area restaurant, which closed at the end of May following the abrupt departure of Chef Hans Schadler, reopened on October 16. The restaurant is now being operated by the team behind Water Street Grille in Yorktown.
Waypoint Seafood and Grill’s updated menu is described as “A celebration of the Chesapeake with a Mediterranean flare” and features items grown at local farms and caught in regional waters. Dinner entrees include lobster crab cakes, cod and other fish, scallops, salmon, and grilled octopus as well as non-seafood dishes including short ribs, steak, pork, pasta, and Cornish hen.
Guests can dine indoors or on the patio. Reservations are recommended. The fine dining establishment is currently open Friday and Saturday for dinner from 4pm to 9pm and on Sunday for brunch from 10 am to 4pm.
