Tickets on Sale Now For Yorktoberfest

YORK-York County Chamber of Commerce will present a Yorktoberfest celebration on Sunday, October 24.

The event, which will be held rain or shine along Riverwalk Landing in Yorktown, will be offered in two sessions:  Morning, from 10:30am to 1:30pm, and Afternoon, from 2:30pm to 5:30pm. Children 10 and under accompanied by an adult are free.

Yorktoberfest will feature unlimited craft beer, cider, and other craft beverage tastings, vendors, food, and music. More than 30 beverages will be available to sample.

Pre-sale VIP tickets are $80 and include entry, a souvenir tasting glass, unlimited beer tastings, a VIP tent food service from 11am to 1pm, a swag bag, and two tickets for a full glass of beer. Pre-sale early bird tickets are $25 and include entry, a souvenir tasting glass, and unlimited beer tastings. Tickets are $35 the day of the event. For more information, visit

On July 1, we started a new way to pay for news. Yes, we want you to subscribe, but we know nobody subscribes to every site they visit just because there's a paywall.

So if you don't want to subscribe (even at the low price of $39.99 for a year), you can pay for access to individual articles. Or just buy a 24-hour pass, as if you were buying a single copy of a newspaper. We use a new payment service called Transact, which lets you pay for individual articles in as little as three seconds. And you will get $3 in credit when you sign up (just an email address, no credit card required), which will let you pay for at least 20 articles.
