Several Local Individuals Named To State Boards

Governor Ralph Northam recently announced the appointments or reappointments of individuals to various state Boards. Among those from the Peninsula who were named to Boards include:

William H. Ferguson of Newport News was appointed to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel Commission. Ferguson is self-employed.

Dr. Jamiah K. Dawson of Newport News was appointed to the Board of Denistry. Dawson is a general dentist with Virginia Affordable Dentures and Implants.

Jenny Inker of Williamsburg was appointed to the Board of Long-Term Care Administrators. Inker is an assistant professor and co-director of the Assisted Living Administration Specialty Area, College of Health Professions Department of Gerontology, Virginia Commonwealth University.

Xavier L. Beale of Smithfield was appointed to the Virginia Board of Workforce Development. Beal is Vice President of Trades for Newport News Shipbuilding, Huntington Ingalls Industries.

Jimmy Gray of Hampton was also named to the Virginia Board of Workforce Development. Gray is Vice Mayor of The City of Hampton.
