Sylvan Learning Center Of Williamsburg To Close

WILLIAMSBURG-Sylvan Learning Center of Williamsburg, which first opened in 2005, will close at the end of August. The center is located on Strawberry Plains Road.

Staff at the Williamsburg location will merge with the Sylvan Learning Center in Newport News, located at 729 Thimble Shoals Blvd. in City Center.

“Student enrollment has decreased significantly since the pandemic, so we have decided to consolidate our efforts,” said Deborah DeJesus, owner and director of Sylvan Learning Center of Williamsburg.

Sylvan Learning Center provides personalized academic programs in reading, writing, study skills, math, and college preparation as well as homework help. Sylvan serves families in Gloucester, York County, Williamsburg, James City County, Hampton, and Newport News.
