Yorktown Celebrates National Farmers Market Week

YORK-Yorktown Market Days at Riverwalk Landing will celebrate National Farmers Market Week on Saturday, August 7 from 8am until noon, joining 349 other markets across Virginia in honoring farmers markets for their impact on local communities and the local economy.

More than 40 local vendors will be on hand during the event, which will also include food trucks, artists, and other local businesses. The Fifes & Drums of Yorktown will also perform beginning at 10am. The event will also include family activities and giveaways.

Yorktown Market Days, which first began serving the Peninsula 15 years ago, offers seasonal produce, farm meats and seafood, poultry and eggs, bread, desserts, honey, jams, and sauces, flowers, herbs, juice, dog treats, and other products.
