WCF Awards More Than $100,000 In Scholarships

WILLIAMSBURG-Williamsburg Community Foundation (WCF) recently awarded more than $100,000 in scholarships to students in the WJCC School Division.

A total of $114,125 in scholarship money went to 73 graduating seniors from the division’s three high schools, Lafayette, Jamestown, and Warhill. Scholarships ranged from $1,000 to $5,000 for post-high school education including both two-year and four-year schools.

Many scholarships were made possible thanks to local corporate sponsors including Riverside Doctors’ Hospital of Williamsburg, TowneBank of Williamsburg, Chesapeake Bank, Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, and Legacy Financial Group.
