WCF Awards $25,0000 In Emergency Response Grants


WILLIAMSBURG-The Williamsburg Health Foundation(WCF) recently awarded $25,000 in grants from the Community Emergency Response Fund. The Community Emergency Response Fund was established last year to help with basic needs such as food and shelter following the aftermath of the pandemic. The most recent awards were the seventh round of grants that have been handed out from this fund.

Among the recipients are The Arc of Greater Williamsburg to support its day program, Arc of Abilities;  FISH, Inc, to provide food and clothing for people in need; Rx Drug Access Partnership to purchase generic medications for Olde Towne Medical and Dental Center; The Salvation Army Williamsburg Corps to assist low-income individuals and their families in the Transitional Shelter program;  Williamsburg Faith In Action to expand its food assistance program for seniors; and Williamsburg House of Mercy to support its drive-thru food pantry and Community Kitchen meals.
