YORK-York County has suspended its COVID-19 Helpline effective March 2. The decision was made due to a decline in the number of callers seeking assistance following the implementation of the Vaccinate Virginia phone line and website in addition to the increase in vaccination availability. York County’s COVID-19 Helpline received 2,500 calls and registered roughly 1,800 citizens ages 65 and older. Citizens needing assistance should now contact the Vaccinate Virginia phone line, 1-877-829-4682, which is open daily from 8am to 8pm, or visit the website anytime at vaccinate.virginia.gov.
