Sweethaven Lavender Receives USDA Grant

JAMES CITY-Sweethaven Lavender Farm has been named a recipient of the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Value Added Producer Grant. The honor was awarded based on various components including proven ability to generate sustainable income from the farm’s crop; demonstrated ability to transform the crop into new value-added products; and the applicant’s business strategy for increasing market share and creating and maintaining jobs.

Sweethaven Lavender Farm was one of 14 businesses in Virginia to receive the grant.
